Today's MoMoments Blog: CHANGE

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens...” Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV
Seasons change. People change. Feelings change. Life is full of changes both good and bad. Good change is maybe a new job, getting promoted, finishing a degree, getting married, having a child. Bad change could be loosing a job, ending a marriage or friendship, having to downsize your lifestyle, loosing a loved one.

What’s important to remember is that through it all, the good and the bad, God is with us and He never changes. Just like He created four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall) with a purpose in mind, He creates the seasons of our lives with that much intention. Everyone/thing is not suppose to have a front row seat in our life forever. As the saying goes, some folks are brought into your life, for a reason, a season or a lifetime. It is important for us to determine which category people, passions and purposes fall in and act accordingly.

We are not here existing just to do the same thing day in and day out with the same folks forever. We aren’t to feel the same way about everyone and everything forever. If we remain the same, doing the same, with the same people, we are not evolving into the person we are destined to become and neither are they.

Yes, this also applies to the role we play in other people’s lives. We are not meant to be in everyone’s life the same way we are right now. This is a harder pill to swallow than the former but, it is just as important and necessary. No matter what side of the coin you find yourself, the intention is still the same, change creates growth, new beginnings, revelations, healing, rebirth, elevation, learning, new opportunities, continued purpose.

As you come to the end of a season in your life or when it comes, take stock of all you’ve experienced, good and bad. Locate the lessons. Pick out the purpose. Identify the intention. Reminisce on the revelation. Hold on to the healing. Concentrate on the continued purpose. Get ready for the growth. And, most importantly THANK GOD for never changing (Hebrews 13:8) and for being with you through it all.

Walk in faith. Live in love.
