A Joyful Attitude

Why does it always seem that its impossible to have more than one full day that is effortless? That day where all exchanges are pleasant and productive. All things work out. You're timing is impeccable. You look amazing. The words that come out of your mouth are the right ones said at the right time. I mean everything hits the mark. Have you had a day like that? How about two in a row? Three? A whole week even? I have had ONE of those days and they come far and few between.

What about the other days where you are walking around with foot/mouth disease, the hair looks wrecked, traffic seems to follow you no matter where you go, nothing seems to add up or workout? You've had more of those days, right?

What is amazing is in both scenarios or a mixture of the two, our attitude seems to fall in line, helping to continue the flow of that day. On the day where we are "on", our attitude is illuminated, our smile exposes every tooth. We walk with confidence and feel unstoppable. This attitude creates an environment for duplication of the previous experience, creating a day to remember. On the contrary, when we have a day that has us wishing we never got out of the bed, we carry that sentiment with us all day and create a mental environment where we allow maybe one off thing to domino the entire day; creating a duplication of the previous experience and creating a day we wish could forget.

Life consistently offers the good and bad sprinkled in and through out each experience. Yes, it is a blessing when we seemingly have "perfect" day, but please know that it is not a curse if we have a less than desirable one. Each day we are alive is a blessing from God. Each day possess what we put in it and what we take from it. God gives us a plethora of choices through experiences, exchanges, environments and exposure. We have the choice to embrace them by way of our attitude. Our thoughts set the tone for how our day will be. If we wake up with yesterday's mistakes, anger, fear, frustrations and depressive thoughts in our spirit, we are bound to create a mental environment where we will put off negative energy and attract it back. We will also prevent any positivity to come in missing a chance to grow and experience something new.

This morning, lets determine in our heart, mind and spirit that we will view this new day as the blessing that it is and embrace the joy that is found in being alive. No matter what one experience creates, our attitude will remain consistent, as our joy and strength is to be found in the Lord. (Nehemiah 8:10)

No matter what man does or says. No matter if you find yourself rushing all day. No matter if that day turns out "perfect". Your attitude should remain consistently joyful, because God has been with you in it all. All experiences serve a God purpose, don't let your attitude towards them blind or block you from receiving its full and authentic message and lesson.

Walk in faith. Live in love.
